When you create a debrief, we record your voice. Important: We do NOT record phone calls - only your voluntary voice memos after calls end.

• Audio recordings of your debriefs (maximum 10 minutes per recording)
• Duration of each recording
• Timestamp of when the debrief was created

AI-Generated Content

Your audio is processed by AI to create:

• Text transcripts of your recordings
• Summaries of key points
• Extracted action items
• Semantic embeddings for search functionality

Contact Information

With your permission, we access your device contacts to link debriefs to people:

• Contact names
• Phone numbers (for matching)
• Email addresses (for matching)

We only use this information to help you organize debriefs by person. We do not share your contacts with third parties.

Account Information

• Email address (from Google or Apple Sign-In)
• Authentication tokens
• Subscription status and billing information

Usage Data

• Number of debriefs created
• Total recording duration
• Feature usage patterns
• App performance metrics

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide the Service: Process your recordings, generate transcripts and summaries
• Personalization: Link debriefs to contacts, enable semantic search

• Encryption: Audio recordings are encrypted before upload (v1 encryption)
• Cloud Storage: Data is stored on Google Cloud Platform (Firebase)
• Access Control: Your data is only accessible to your authenticated account
• No Human Review: We do not manually listen to your recordings

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to provide Debrief:

• Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, and cloud storage
• OpenAI: Audio transcription and AI summarization
• Google Cloud: Backend infrastructure

These services have their own privacy policies. We only share the minimum data necessary to provide our Service.

5. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: View all your debriefs and data in the app
• Delete: Delete individual debriefs or your entire account
• Export: Request a copy of your data
• Correction: Edit or update your information
• Withdraw Consent: Revoke permissions (e.g., contacts access) at any time

6. Data Retention

• We retain your debriefs as long as your account is active
• Deleted debriefs are permanently removed within 30 days
• Account deletion removes all associated data within 30 days
• We may retain anonymized usage data for analytics

7. Children's Privacy

Debrief is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

8. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using Debrief, you consent to such transfers.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
